As a family-run artisan bakery in Lincolnshire, they’ve been whipping up delectable baked goods using traditional methods and top-notch ingredients since 1972. We’re proud to partner with them and since February 2022, their kindness has had a major impact on our mission to provide housing and support to those in need.
Thanks to their delicious donations of cakes, we have been able to sell them at our reception and local events, raising a remarkable £861.58 to date! These funds go towards helping those in need regain stability through our housing and support services. The Original Cake Company is more than just a bakery, they are a shining example of the power of community support. Who are we?
LEAP Housing is a registered charity and social landlord based in Lincoln and Gainsborough. Our mission is to provide housing and support to those facing homelessness, helping them regain stability and independence. Our team of skilled housing staff works with residents to provide short-term housing solutions and support services to help them get back on their feet.
In addition to providing housing, we also encourage our beneficiaries to participate in community projects and activities. This helps to create a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming environment for everyone. We believe that by working together, we can build stronger communities and help those in need achieve their full potential.
At LEAP Housing, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those facing homelessness in our community. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home, and we are committed to providing the resources and support to help make this a reality. Whether it’s through our housing services or our community projects, we are always looking for ways to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
How will this donation help?
We make money go a long way in our fight against homelessness at LEAP. One of the many ways we use donations is to create welcome packs for our beneficiaries. Offering these to our clients costs £40 per person to help them get settled in, they contain: a quilt, pillows, covers, a laundry basket and bath towels. Our support team offers services to our clients such as; budgeting, emotional support, practical skills and life skills, which these donations help us provide. Furthermore, they can also help us to cover utility bills for our clients from as little as £11.55 a week to ensure clients have; water, electricity, and heating. With donations like these we can really make a difference to peoples lives
