LEAP recently received a second donation from W.Bro Alex Lee of Minster Lodge No. 8702 to help homeless individuals in Lincolnshire. The money was raised by the Brethren and friends of Minster Lodge. The money was raised from various social events throughout the period 2019 through 2022,  Alex held the position of acting Worshipful Master of the Lincoln based Lodge during this time. This is the second donation that we have received from Alex, he previously presented LEAP with a cheque for £750 back in 2020 after completing his year as the Worshipful Master of the Lodge.

Minster Lodge No. 8702 is one of eight Masonic Craft Lodges based at the Lincoln Masonic Centre. The home of just a small number of the 3,000 plus Freemasons within the Masonic Province of Lincolnshire. Minster Lodge along with its seven sister Lodges contribute a lot to their community and local and national charities.

Alex has returned with another cheque of £1000! We could not be happier with the amazing contribution from the Freemasons.

How will this donation help?

£1000 goes a long way in our fight against homelessness, as did their donation back in 2020. One of the many ways we use donations is to create welcome packs for our clients. Offering these to our clients costs £40 per person to help them get settled in, they contain: a quilt, pillows, covers, a laundry basket and bath towels. Our support team offers services to our clients such as; budgeting, emotional support, practical skills and life skills, which these donations help us provide. Furthermore, they can also help us to cover utility bills for our clients from as little as £11.55 a week to ensure clients have; water, electricity, and heating. With donations like these we can really make a difference to peoples lives
