LEAP Housing Trusted Charity Award

We have proudly achieved the Level 1 Trusted Charity Award! This Award recognises the excellent work the whole of LEAP does and that LEAP Housing is a Trusted Charity.

Trusted Charity is part of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Trusted Charity Mark is a nationally recognised quality mark awarded to an organisation after an external assessment. Additionally, achieving the mark offers service users and funders external verification of the quality and credibility of an organisation.

Furthermore, A special thanks goes out to Kim Bescoby, LEAP’s Compliance & Administration Manager. Kim was instrumental in collating the evidence needed to meet the Trusted Charity’s 11 standards. Without a doubt these included effective practice in:

• Governance,
• Leadership and management,
• Managing staff and volunteers, and
• Managing money.

Once the evidence was collated, submitted and reviewed, interviews with trustees, managers and team members were planned in.

Finally, Heidi Walton, CEO, extended her thanks to all trustees, managers and team members who contributed to this amazing achievement.
