On June 27th 2024, LEAP’s CEO, Heidi Walton, appeared on ITV Calendar to call on politicians to prioritise housing in their agendas ahead of the General Election.
Heidi told ITV Calendar’s Emma Wilkinson the following:
“We’re under huge pressure at the moment. The housing crisis, particularly in the City of Lincoln, is absolutely phenomenal. We probably get on average, 40 – 50 referrals each week. But we move on 2 – 3 people each month. Which shows the level of the demand there is in the city.”
Heidi’s interview was part of a wider discussion about the housing crisis and how a lack of social housing and high private rents are making things increasingly difficult.
