We have just been in receipt of some lovely feedback from RM, one of the young people LEAP supported. Here is the feedback in R’s own words:
Hello to all staff at LEAP,
It’s been 9 months having left the service, and it’s surreal to think I was with you for 3+ years. Looking back, I realised how much I’ve grown not only in character but in life, the support I was provided with helped me to progress in aspects I implement more than ever now. I feel like a new person. The reason I am writing this email is to thank every single member of staff during my time in LEAP, the opportunities were endless, so much so I have some news.
I had applied for a job as a support worker. Soon after I was offered an interview and I found myself looking through notes, reading back on all my Lifewise, rejogging my memory and it was hard… I’ve come from living in a service to almost being part of one. It had me in tears. During my interview I knew exactly what to say and I left feeling really satisfied. The next day, I was sat in the ritz and my phone started ringing, it was a phone call from the company telling me that they want to offer me a full-time position as a support worker, me being me responded with “really?” and then I said thank you, describing how much this position means to me.
It’s been a journey for all of us. And LEAP, because of you… because of the staff who supported me I have found my wings.
