On March 10th 2024, LEAP commemorated thirty years of service.
To mark this significant milestone, celebrations were held with our Lincoln and Gainsborough teams, alongside our esteemed trustees and stakeholders. And in the interest of honesty, we must admit, plenty of cake was consumed!
Heidi Walton, our Chief Executive had this to say about LEAP as it enters its thirtieth year of service:
“Having worked for LEAP for much of my working career, I have seen LEAP through an amazing journey from the charity’s tenth anniversary in 2004 right the way through to this significant milestone. When I commenced in 2001, LEAP had only a few bed spaces and a turnover of approximately £30k. Today we boast a property portfolio valued around £4 million and an annual turnover of £1 million. It’s been such a journey and I feel so privileged to be part of our two dedicated teams in Lincoln and Gainsborough and to also have been able to support our residents as they have move through their individual journeys from homelessness to independence. Here’s to the next 30 years!”
Trudi Ward-Walters, Assistant Chief Executive Officer for LEAP also commented on LEAP’s milestone:
“Having recently joined LEAP I am really delighted to be a part of this incredible team as the charity heads into its thirtieth year. I have been nothing short of amazed at the brilliant work being done by the dedicated staff and I am honoured to be able to play my part in helping reduce homelessness in Lincolnshire.”
And in case you were wondering, LEAP’s 30th Anniversary celebrations will not be limited to just one day or even one month! Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting a variety of events to raise funds and to celebrate all the work we’ve accomplished.
