Lincoln City FC supply Young Homeless Charity LEAP with valuable bedding

November 17, 2015

LEAP (Lincolnshire Employment Accommodation Project) were provided with valuable bedding from local football team Lincoln City on Monday 16th November.  Lincoln City striker Conner Robinson and midfielder Andy Wright presented the bedcovers to LEAP clients at Sincil Bank Stadium.

A total of 20 Lincoln City themed sets were given to the young homeless accommodation charity which will be used in LEAP’s houses around the city.

Bedding is extremely valued at LEAP as it goes to young people who come into LEAP’s services without any possessions. More than 40 young people use the services at LEAP and offerings such as these are extremely helpful in providing a safe and secure environment for the clients.

Heidi the Chief Executive of LEAP said: “We’d like to say a massive thanks to Lincoln City FC for organising this event and offering us such valuable bedding.  This bedding will go to our clients who have no possessions when they come to LEAP. Providing food and basic living facilities can be costly and we are thankful that Lincoln City has helped us in providing our clients with much needed items.”

On Friday 21th November at 1.30pm LEAP will be hosting the ‘Say hello to LEAP’ event, with the aim of understanding the issues faced by young people today. The first 30 people to call into LEAP located at Monson Street and say hello will receive a cream tea of sandwiches cakes & scones.

The event runs from 1.30pm – 3.00pm and includes information about LEAP and the opportunity to talk to staff, volunteers and young people.
