Bridge McFarland Bake Sale Raises Over £100 for LEAP!

Bridge McFarland Lincoln hosted a bake sale and prosecco raffle last Friday to raise funds for LEAP and it was a huge success! This is the first fundraiser as part of a new partnership between the two organsations, with Bridge McFarand selecting LEAP as their chosen charity for 2018/2019 to raise funds for! Heidi Walton (LEAP CEO) and Michael Sellers (Marketing and Fundraising Officer) went a judged the delicious cakes; with the coffee cake coming out on top and the event raising over £100! We are very thankful for Bridge McFarland for this amazing amoutn raised! They are also planning a Sleep out at their offices for October, watch this space to hear more about this!

Submit Designs for the Sincil Bank Art Project Phase 2!

From the 3rd until the 20th July, LEAP painted 20 green Virgin Media boxes throughout the Sincil Bank Area; bringing a lot of amazing colour to the area and getting so many different and diverse groups involved. People from all abilities and backgrounds joined in and it was a lot of fun! ​ We are very excited to announce that we have been approved funding for EIGHT more boxes in Sincil Bank! We need designs for these boxes; any age and ability can submit a design and the template is available to download at ! LEAP have received funding for another round of box painting! 8 more boxes! We want Sincil Bank residents to nominate boxes so please comment below where you'd like to see one being painted or email! Information about design submissions to follow soon!

Final Painting Day for Phase 1 of Art Project!

The final painting day for Phase 1 of the Sincil Bank Art Project took place on the 20th July, with designs by Janice Kok and Pat Rowberry being painted onto boxes on Hermit Street! The day like all others on the project was a huge success and really brightened up the area, we would like to thank Janice and Pat for their designs and painting as well as all volunteers who helped on the day! We look forward to phase 2!

Painting Day 4 at Bishop Kings School and Lincoln City Football Ground !

The fourth day of LEAP's Sincil Bank Community Art Project got underway on the 17th July, with paiting being done at the football ground and Bishop Kings School! It was a great day all around, with designs paying homage to the Robey works and the origins of Bishop King School! Thank you to all those who got involved yesterday!

Big Gig A Big Success for LEAP!

On the 15th July LEAP took part in their first ever Big Gig at The Arboretum! Organised by Action LN2, the event is hosted yearly and sees a number of charity stalls, live music and fun events for all! LEAP had a stall with Guess the Name of the Bear, Guess the Number of Sweets and Trolley Tokens available for sale. The day was a really fun day with beautful weather, and LEAP raised £61.80! Thank you to all those who came to support us and to Action LN2 for giving us the stall space!

Amazing Painting on Day Three of the Sincil Bank Community Art Project!

The 3rd day of the Sincil Bank Community was once again a huge sucess! North Kesteven Academy, the Lincoln Art Ninjas, Helena and Richard Mair and other amazing volunteers all painted some fabulous pieces yesterday and really brightened up the area! Lots of passers by loved the painting and it is great to see that residents are appreciating it! Thank you to all those who got involved today! #SincilBankCommunityArt

St Peter At Gowts Painting Day A Fun Day All Around!

Day Two of LEAP's Sincil Bank Community Art Project took place on the 6th July at St Peter at Gowts School, with the day having glorious weather and lots of fun for the school kids! Pupils from the school got invovled with 4 boxes, all of which absolutely stunned passers by and look amazing! Well done to St Peter at Gowts for you amazing efforts and we hope you had lots of fun!

Day One of the LEAP Art Project a Success!

The first day of LEAP's new art project launched yesterday, and it was an overwhelming success! A large number of volunteers; LEAP Staff, residents, artists and others all helped out to create some fabulous designs that have certainly helped brighten up parts of the ward! The project involves the revitalization and redesign of various green Virgin Media boxes around the Sincil Bank area; many or which are run down, bland in colour and have graffiti on them. The project helps add some colour and vibrance to the area and all are welcome to get involved! LEAP Volunteering at the Lincoln 10K

On the 1st July, LEAP took part in their first ever Lincoln 10K! Volunteers helped marshal on the course and helped to motivate the runners in scorching hot weather! This year is the first in a three year partnership with Run For All, the event organizers. LEAP hope to have a successful partnership and to raise more awareness and funds in future events!
