LEAP works tirelessly to support homeless people to recover from their personal issues and break down the barriers that they face.  Homelessness is much more than just a housing issue, so we provide a range of accommodation and support services to help people reach their full potential.

Our aim is to inspire those we accommodate to embrace new opportunities and to be the very best they can.  Through a person-centred support framework, we enable vulnerable people to have new experiences, develop skills to become independent and to make a positive contribution to society.

We will also invest in training you through the Chartered Institute of Housing to gain a qualification and expert knowledge and skills in the housing sector.

Housing Officer

As a Housing Officer, you will assist allocated clients to identify and work towards individual goals consistent with sustaining a tenancy in supported housing.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that clients have access to specialist services as required, utilising both internal and external resources

  • Managing a caseload of clients, building good and trusting relationships, supporting each person to achieve their full potential

  • Monitor and manage the day to day running of a range of accommodation and property standards

  • Monitor and manage the sustainment of tenure for individuals to minimise evictions and reduce homelessness

  • Maintaining constructive working relationships with other service providers, neighbours, and community groups

  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone who lives or works in, or visits our projects

Applicants must be self-motivated, reliable, and dedicated to our aims and ethos. A full driving licence, business insurance and access to a vehicle is essential along with a willingness to provide some Out of Hours services and be willing to work some unsociable hours.

Salary scale £19,465 to £20,255 plus a benefits package that includes a generous annual leave allowance and company pension

We will be holding a number of information sessions via Zoom w/c 8th March 2021 to provide more information about the role. We will contact suitable applicants to arrange a meeting time/day. Sessional Support Worker

We are always looking for new staff to cover weekend and evening shifts. Evidence of work with this client group is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Applications must be self-motivated, reliable and dedicated to our aims and ethos.

Full driving licence, business insurance and access to a vehicle is essential. 

Rate of pay £9.30 per hour + holiday pay
