How to apply?

A referral form will need to be completed. A form can be obtained by:

  • Downloading the form from the website

  • Collect from the Gainsborough or Lincoln office

  • Call the office and a form can be sent out to you

  • Go into the housing department at District Council and ask for a referral to be made


Once the form has been received you will be asked to attend an interview with the Housing Officer who will tell you all about the service. At the interview you will be asked to give the names of 2 people who can tell us about you and your situation, this could be a professional you have been working with or a previous landlord if you have not always lived at home. We will also ask you personal questions so that we can make sure that the service is right.


When we have all the information we need, we can make a decision if we can support you or not. You will be given the answer by telephone, email or letter and if someone has referred you they will also be told the outcome. If you are not happy with the decision that we have made you can ask us to look at this again by filling in our appeals form. Please ask staff for a copy.
