LEAP is a registered charity set up in 1994 to improve training and accommodation prospects for young people at risk. LEAP's aim is to help vulnerable young people aged 16—25 gain independent living skills and promotes social inclusion. Most of all, LEAP believes in creating better lives for the young people we work with.
Our Mission Statement Is:
To improve housing and support services, whilst promoting social inclusion for vulnerable young people at risk, with multiple and complex needs, by developing social and basic living skills, increasing self esteem, and encouraging active participation in employment and training appropriate to their circumstances, to improve their employment and housing prospects
Our Aims and Objectives:
- To provide a quality support service that is appropriate to each client
- To embrace diversity of the community in which we work and value the differences they bring to the services we provide
- To provide affordable accommodation
- To maintain all our accommodation to an acceptable level
- To encourage independence in young people by promoting quality of opportunity in employment and training
- To harness, through partnership, the skills and resources of private, statutory and voluntary organisations
- To improve community safety and promote social inclusion
- To be committed to the supporting people programme and to help them to achieve their aspirations and accomplish their objectives
Our Services
LEAP provides a range of support services through its Supported Housing, Floating Support and Emergency Flat facility. We also provide a range of exciting activities to all our clients.
